The area’s opportunities for entertainment cover a wide range. There is a very well established appreciation for the arts as evidenced by nationally recognized Actors Theatre of Louisville and includes the Kentucky Center for the Arts, the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center at Indiana University Southeast and Stage One (children’s theater) to name a few.
There are over 100 public parks, 50 golf courses (including Fuzzy Zoeller’s home course – Covered Bridge Golf Course), numerous tennis courts, swimming pools, fishing lakes to try your skills or just relax on a nice day. You can see the world’s largest fireworks display or the world’s largest baseball bat or witness in person the two minutes the world stands still – The Kentucky Derby.
There are many places to shop and a great variety of four-star restaurants. You can enjoy fine dining or just grab a world-renowned fish sandwich.
