Network of Champions Exceed Expectations...Again!

2.14.08 “It was supercharged and so much fun,” declares Debbie Hurst, an account executive for L&D Mail Masters, speaking of the recent Network of Champions event.  “The music, location, and general feeling in the room was so positive and really charged my batteries.  Thank you for making the event fun and full of positive energy!”

The sequel to One Southern Indiana’s Network of Champions – The Roundtable – hit the business community on Valentines Day (Feb 14) at 300 Spring with the “Love of Business” as its theme.  Specialty Valentine chocolates were lovingly distributed by Champion Sponsor Diane Fischer with L&D Mail Masters to over 100 attendees.  Business deals were discussed.  Clients were acquired.  Connections were made.  And breakfast was served!

“I really liked the networking format,” remarks Bill Huss, owner of Safety Wear. “I found that there was more focus on business and networking vs. the socializing that often occurs at networking events. I got a promising referral during the event!”

Unlike the first Network of Champions event in January featuring the 30 second commercial program, participants made connections at individual tables of eight.  Each networker received 2 minutes to present his/her product with brief group dialogue following the presentations.  Half way through the event, EMCEE Kyle Morey (VP of Membership & Strategic Alliances for 1SI), utilized a unique numbering system to move networkers to new tables with completely new people to give another round of 2 minute presentations.  Double the people.  Double the exposure! 

“I love this format!” says Bruce Morris, CEO of Morris Images. “It gives me just enough time to go into the details of my business and make good connections.”

“What a great program for the 40 or so businesses that joined us from Louisville,” states Lin Schussler-Williams with Warren Technology and Chairperson of the Network of Champions. “They were connected with Southern Indiana businesses with some help from our trained Champion Connectors.”
