Networking Goes Expo

2.28.08 One Southern Indiana – in partnership with The Calumet Club and Tommy Lancaster’s Restaurant & Catering – hosted a one-of-a-kind business after hours mixer showcasing over 20 area businesses to over 200 of the 5 O’Clock Network audience.  A variety of industries exhibiting included business services, technology providers, financial institutions, hospitality, caterers, media and more (see below for a complete list).   

“One Southern Indiana is known for its annual tradeshow drawing over a thousand businesses and hundreds of exhibitors,” says Kyle Morey, VP of Business Services. “We are also known for our monthly networking opportunities.  Thus, we decided to marry the two.  In other words, we dropped the exhibitor pricing down, decreased the number of exhibitors, and then invited our monthly networking crowd to connect with each other and our exhibitors.”

“It’s all about making connections” exclaims Warren Technology’s Lin Schussler-Williams. “Only a few seconds went by from the time I stepped into the Calumet Club before I was presented with three leads!”

The 5 O’Clock Network offers area business professionals, leaders, and elected officials the opportunity once a month to make connections, build relationships, and market through word-of-mouth.  One Southern Indiana plans to offer both exclusive and non exclusive – as well as industry specific – mini expositions sprinkled through out the year in conjunction with the 5 O’Clock Network. 

What’s next?  The Non Profit Meets Profit Expo on Tuesday May 20 at the Newlin Hall  This mini expo and mixer will feature up to 40 Not for Profit organizations (501c) and give business professionals the opportunity to connect, learn, and build relationships with the non profit world.  Exhibitor Info & Pricing Here (pdf)
