DAVISES LAUNCH DESIGN FIRM TARGETED AT SMALL BUSINESSES

What began as a marriage for Dave and Kristen Reinhart Davis in 2008 has developed into an enterprising business partnership interwoven with the right mix of skills to fill a niche in today’s commercial and non-profit arenas.

With a hefty list of accomplishments under their belts, the young professionals have launched Panorama Creative Group, LLC, a full-time publishing and design firm based in New Albany, Ind. Capitalizing on their special interests and talents, the resulting customized services focus on their target market of small businesses.

Dave is creative director and Kristen is business development director of the company that meets client needs in hard-copy and on-line publications—from newsletters to brochures to international technical journals—as well as in business cards, technical writing, marketing-related photography, Web design and maintenance, podcasting, and logo design.

The new venture sets them apart from the norm through immediate response and follow-through, one-on-one attention to clients, and years of practical experience in the very areas that are the focus of their services, according to Dave Davis.

The Floyd County native is a graduate of Indiana University Southeast with a degree in communications and journalism and is editor of AutoSuccess, a nationally circulated sales development magazine. He is the former associate editor of The Tribune [New Albany, Ind.] who spent 20 years as a freelance writer and graphic designer for a variety of companies and publications, which led to the formation of his own business. Among Dave Davis’ past clients are Goodwill Industries of Kentucky, where he was its first Webmaster; and New Albany-Floyd County Schools, where he developed the corporation’s early Web site. A member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals, he has applied his creativity and technical skills to firms in the construction and healthcare industries as well.

The entrepreneurial spirit comes naturally to Kristen Davis, a Louisville native, whose father owns and operates a construction company. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville and works in software quality assurance and information technology for ZirMed, Inc. An accomplished metalsmith and member of the Louisville Artisans Guild, she is the founding owner of Kalla Studios, LLC, in New Albany, where she specializes in custom-designed and individually created sterling silver jewelry. Both business partners are members of One Southern Indiana.

Panorama is the culmination of an “aha” moment for Dave Davis, whose early childhood fascination with computers and their ever-expanding capacities to reach vast audiences inspired his creativity. Combined with Kristen’s love of learning and computers, the business partnership became the natural next step, Kristen said, since they know firsthand the needs of small businesses and are confident their company can create even more lasting partnerships.
