Cotton + Allen CPA earns two exclusive designations
DeARK COMPLETES FINANCIAL FORENSICS EXPERT CERTIFICATION PROCESS
LOUISVILLE, Ky., February 4, 2010 – Missy G. DeArk, CPA/CFF, MBA, CFFA, a financial forensics expert and practice manager for the Litigation Consulting Group at Cotton + Allen, has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) to earn the designation of Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA), and has been awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
A Jeffersonville, Ind. native, DeArk joined Cotton + Allen in 2008 and is responsible for the Litigation Consulting Group’s overall development and management. Her areas of expertise include matrimonial litigation, loss of profits, commercial litigation, business valuations, and bankruptcy. Prior to joining the firm, she was a controller and chief financial officer for more than 16 years. DeArk has a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Bellarmine University (1991) and a master of business administration from Indiana University (1995). She is a member of the AICPA, One Southern Indiana, GLI Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics Network, and the Indiana School Board Association. DeArk serves as secretary of the Greater Clark County School Board (elected position, July 2006 – June 2010).
