Major EmployerSouthern Indiana/Louisville has a wide range of employers. Many are nationally known companies that have grown to prominence from their start-up here and maintain their headquarters in the region. A great many are national companies that have a major presence in our region.

Products vary from barge construction to heavy truck assembly, from large home appliances to kitchen cabinets and from electronic components to specialty chemical catalysts.

Our workforce is well-trained with a strong work ethic and supported by our excellent education system for all age levels and needs.



Southern Indiana has several "home grown" employers, such as Beach Mold & Tool, Discount Labels, FireKing International, Koetter Woodworking, and SAMTEC, Inc., to name a few, who are joined by national concerns such as The Pillsbury Company, Colgate-Palmolive Company, and Hitachi Cable Indiana, Inc.

The list of large employers in Greater Louisville include such companies as United Parcel Service, Inc.; Ford Motor Company; GE Appliances; The Kroger Co.; Humana, Inc.; YUM! Brands Inc.; and Papa John’s International. Many of these companies have a long history in the market and are joined by a wide variety of business from banking to health care, from printing to credit card service centers, and from chemicals to energy services.
