Features:  The homes along Main Street in New Albany take you back to the riverboat days with their "Widow's Walk" and add to the charm of the region.  Indiana University Southeast has a beautiful campus and is one of the fastest growing campuses in the IU system.  "The Knobs" offer spectacular views of the Southern Indiana region as well as the downtown Louisville skyline.  Many residents enjoy excellent homes and outstanding views along Skyline Drive.

Topography:  Floyd County has rich soil, flat land and gently rolling hills in the south and eastern part of the county.  Hills, know as "The Knobs" run through the west and northwest portion of the county.

Municipalities:  There are 5 communities of varying sizes.  The two largest are:
