Whether you have been a member two days or 20 years, you have the opportunity to get involved and make a difference in your community. Your involvement determines your success. Whether you are interested in being an Ambassador, debating public policy, developing business programs, or guiding economic development in Southern Indiana, we welcome your involvement.

Ambassador Committee
The friendly faces you see welcoming you at our 5 O’clock Networks, Ribbon Cuttings, and other networking events are the Chamber Ambassadors. Our Ambassadors serve as stewards of One Southern Indiana and assist in recruiting and welcoming new members. Meetings occur every first Thursday of the month.

Business Expo & Trade Show
This taskforce's volunteers help to implement ideas and dialogue in planning the largest and most successful B2B Expo in Southern Indiana. Committee members commit to recruiting exhibitors, sponsors, door prizes and attendees as well as providing day-of-event management. Meetings occur between February and August. The Expo takes place in September.

Business Resource Council
The Business Resource Council leads our efforts and develops programs and resources for businesses seeking to go to the next level. This Council provides strategy, guidance and ideas for our tiered service offerings, gives us feedback on seminars, events and branding opportunities for business, and ultimately ensures 1SI provides the right services to encourage companies to innovate and achieve.

CEO Roundtables
These are confidential forums where groups of 6 to 10 peers share the challenges and problems encountered by themselves and their companies. This is an opportunity to bond with fellow CEO’s, both professionally and personally. There is a separate annual fee to join a group and you must contact our offices before attending a meeting. Champion Connectors
Expertly trained and highly motivated volunteers charged with making one-on-one connections with business professionals at chamber networking events. Connectors manage the best word-of-mouth advertising program - the Network of Champions.

Family-Owned Business
Is the next generation ready to be the new business owner?  Have you taught them enough? Yesterday they were part of the business …Tomorrow they will be running the business … Are they prepared for the job ahead?  As the next generation to lead your business, your sons and daughters face challenges unique to their situation. To help ensure the success of these future business leaders, One Southern Indiana is proud to bring you a specialized program developed by Colleen Endres of Rodefer Moss & Company, PLLC several years ago and continues to flourish.  “Family Works” is a network of future family-owned business leaders that meets monthly to discuss topics of interest to their professional growth and unique business challenges. Along with monthly seminars, members will have the opportunity to learn from one another and build a support network with their peers.

Minority & Women Business Owners Taskforce
Plans and implements the one-day power conference – an event that focuses on learning opportunities for minority and women business owners.  The committee has several sub-committees that select the workshops, schedule speakers, produce marketing, secure exhibitors, etc.  The committee meets twice a month from December to April.

Networking on the Greens Golf Scramble
This committee coordinates the largest golf tournament in Southern Indiana. 1SI’s scramble offers a great vehicle to connect to over 180 of the who’s who in Southern Indiana. Enjoy the game!

Public Policy Council
Members of this taskforce are responsible for anticipating, defining and performing research on policies, projects, proposed legislation, trends, etc., that may influence the Southern Indiana business community.

Sales & Marketing Success
Committee members are responsible for implementing and finding qualified industry experts for a bimonthly “how to” network and market workshop. There are eight events per year and the dates vary.  The committee meetings are once a month in the months of October, November & December.

Southern Indiana Business Awards Taskforce
Members of this committee plan and execute the prestigious One Southern Indiana Awards Ceremony – a May Academy Awards styled dinner luncheon that recognizes outstanding area businesses to an audience of nearly 400 attendees.. Meetings occur January through May.

Women in Business
This committee provides leadership, professional expertise, and direction in connecting area business women professionals and owners with a monthly event. Events occur every first Friday of the month at 11:30 a.m.  Committee meetings are once a month in the months of October, November, and December.

Economic Development Council
Investors provide strategic direction to One Southern Indiana’s progressive economic development activities, including: new business attraction, business retention and expansion, transportation, redevelopment, quality of life and recruitment of talent.
